The position is available for maximal 3 years and salary will be according to TV-L E13. You should hold a PhD in Earth Sciences and have substantial experiences in analytical geochemistry, i.e. mass spectrometry and with working in geochemical clean laboratories. Experience in external fund raising would be advantageous.
Our institute is equipped with a multi collector ICP-MS (Thermo-Neptune) and a SF-ICP-MS (Thermo-Element XR) which both can be connected to a femto second laser ablation system (Spectra Physics) for in situ analyses. We also have modern clean laboratory facilities available. Additionally, the institute is equipped with electron microprobe, micro Raman, ICP-OES, experimental laboratories and other facilities.
