The Department of Earth Science is advertising a Post-Doc Position (4 years) in Tectonics & Thermochronology
We seek a young scientist who will pursue independent research on faulting and thermal evolution of the continental lithosphere. This will combine analysis of fault rocks and sedimentary basins with isotopic and/or fission-track analysis aimed at constraining the age and rates of faulting in orogenic environments. The successful candidate will be expected to compete for third-party funding programs.
Collaboration with members of the Earth Science department as well as other departments in the Berlin-Potsdam area is strongly encouraged. Teaching responsibilities include four hours of lecturing per week during semesters and supervising BSc. and MSc. students in the field and laboratory.
