Requirements: university degree (doctorate level) in earth sciences (petrography, mineralogy, or geochemistry); several years of post-doctoral research experience mainly in meteorite studies, as documented by peer-reviewed international publications; knowledge of modern petrologic, mineralogic, and geochemical analytical methods (e.g., electron microscopy, trace element analysis, isotope geochemistry); record of performing and completing research projects; organizational talent and team work; detailed knowledge of computer applications; excellent knowledge of German and English, willingness to participate in curatorial work (meteorite and rock collection), exhibitions and outreach activities. Demonstrated success in obtaining research funding is desirable.
